Following last year’s successful inaugural symposium at ISTA, we are proud to announce the ATgliaNet Symposium 2026, a one-day scientific meeting, with keynote speaker Prof. Leda Dimou (Medical Faculty, University of Ulm).
Abstract / Short summary:
Non-neuronal cells make up nearly 50% of the cells within the brain, yet their roles have only recently moved to the forefront of neuroscience. Glial cells are no longer bystanders - they are key players in central nervous system function, health, and disease. In this symposium we bring together researchers from Austria that are interested in learning more about glia cells.

- Ass. Prof. Vered Kellner, PhD (Medical University of Vienna)
- Isabelle Weinhoffer, Ap. Prof. Mag. Dr. (Medical University of Vienna)
