The Center for Brain Research is located in Viennas 9th district at the corner of the "Altes AKH Campus" near the Vienna General Hospital (AKH). Direct in front of the builduing across the street there is a tramway station for the trams no. 33 and 5 called "Lazarettgasse"

By train: using the City Airport Train "CAT" to City Air Terminal Landstraße - Wien Mitte, change to underground U4 (in the direction "Heiligenstadt"), exit at stop Friedensbrücke, change to tram no. 5 (in the direction "Wien Westbahnhof"), exit at stop Lazarettgasse, cross the street, after 50 m you reach the Center for Brain Research. Transfer time: approx. 45 min
By Taxi: about 30 min; approx 50€ - From Railway Stations:
from Railway station "Vienna West Station - Westbahnhof": Tram no. 5 (in the direction “Praterstern”), exit at stop Lazarettgasse, you are right in front of the Center for Brain Research. Transfer time: approx. 20 min
from Railway station "Vienna Central Station - Hauptbahnhof": Tram no. D (in the direction “Nußdorf”), exit at stop Schottentor, change to Tram no. 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42 exit at the 3th stop “Spitalgasse, 5 min walk to the Center for Brain Research or take tram no. 5 (in the direction “Westbahnhof”), exit at the next stop “Lazarettgasse”, cross the street, after 50m you are right in front of the Center for Brain Research. Transfer time: approx. 35 min - By car: The CBR is located in a restricted parking zone, no public parking at the Center. Parking at designated parking areas along the streets require parking tickets which are available at some newspaper kiosks (Trafiken) or via smartphone parking apps.
